Tek nozzle PRO, 180mm

The TEK nozzle PRO is the result of years of development and optimization phase of Rolf Schuler.
First pattern of this nozzle were built as early as 1996 began developing the first model aircraft variometer. At that time, various, described in the book Streckensegelflug by Helmut Reichmann nozzle configurations were investigated. Even a small wind tunnel was built for comparative measurements.
However, most showed an unsatisfactory compensation behavior, mostly under-compensation.
Also easy to produce, and therefore often used Nicks nozzle shows this behavior.
Note: In the manned glider Nicks nozzles achieved good results, which is due to the larger dimensions and higher flight speeds. The nozzle works there at higher Reynolds numbers.

With the so-called Brunswick nozzle much better results were obtained. It is somewhat more complicated to manufacture, but safely reached depends on the dimensions the factor (-1), that is a 100% compensation. Furthermore, the compensation value can be easily adjusted at this nozzle, whereby an individual adjustment to the model is possible.

The TEK-PRO nozzle of wstech is therefore realized on the principle of "Braunschweiger nozzle".
It is similar to the nozzle very simple Nicks angle and sliding angle-insensitive, but is distinguished from these by a significantly improved compensation from.

The PRO nozzle is completely made of stainless steel.

The nozzle length is about 180mm. It fits to models in scale 1:4 to 1:3.5 (approx. 5m span). For 1:3 models it is optically a bit too small, but this does not affect the operation.
Pilots, who put value on scale dimensions, can extended the nozzle with a carbon fiber tube for example.

For mounting the nozzle or the nozzle holder on the same model as for the advice and recommendations Nicks nozzle apply. You should be aligned as parallel as possible to the zero line of the elevator.

Of course, the PRO nozzle also works with all other model aircraft variometers provided a nozzle connection (2.5 mm) is present.

Delivery Without bracket or hose, please order separately.
